Mature brides are women that marry past the age of 40. They may still be single or they may have divorced or been widowed. There is no difference between mature bride wedding planning compared to the brides in their 20's. Mature bride wedding planning requires at least the same amount of effort and time as does a young bride. However, a mature bride has an advantage compared to the younger ladies, their expectations of a dream wedding are less. Most mature brides are satisfied with the simple 10 minute wedding.

Goal planning for a wedding is very important for both the mature bride and the younger brides. Goal planning for a wedding is simple, you first choose your wedding date and then plan for all the tasks of a wedding to be done before then. For example, 6-12 months out from your wedding date, the tasks that should be completed are: announcing the engagement, deciding the type of wedding you want, choosing the bridal party, choosing the location.

Then 3 months from your wedding you should: complete your guest list, make reservations for your honey moon, confirm the dates and times with your caterer/photographer/florist (just to name a few). There are an enormous amount of tasks to do and this list is just a sample.
